Bill Tripp at home in San Diego

Bill Tripp Obituary

1941 - 2015

Bill Tripp, 74, of Oceanside, CA passed away peacefully on June 7 2015.

William Tripp was born in California in 1941.  When he was an infant his parents moved to Bronxville, NY.  After graduating from Bronxville High School, Bill volunteered for the draft and spent two years, courtesy of the U.S. Army, in Germany.   After completing his military service, Bill attended the University of Miami for one semester and then transferred to Syracuse University, where he graduated with a degree in market research.
Bill spent most of his career in advertising except for a few years where he decided to explore different paths.  At one time he became a certified biofeedback therapist.   At another he decided to pursue his dream of moving to California to write screenplays.

Bill lived most of his life in the New York area and spent many summer weekends in the Hamptons where he managed a summer house, first with partners and later with his wife, Barbara.

After he retired, Bill and Barbara moved to the San Diego area where they could enjoy a nearly perfect year-round climate.  Bill continued to play tennis and became a good golfer.  He also enjoyed bridge.

A memorial website has been setup to celebrate Bill’s life. If you think you know Bill, please contact his wife, Barbara.   Barbara would love to hear from you and will send you an invitation to view the site.
